09 January 2012 - Happy New Year everyone! The first DER release of 2012 will be released next Monday, the 16th January. Nasastep by Pollux (DER025) is a wonderful lobit dubstep single from the prolific Pollux, backed with a Fabiorosho remix. check the release page for more info!

29 November - 'Psychopathia', the farewell EP from US noisegrind band Boy + Girl, is out now! 4 tracks of live noisegrind in a minute and a half, marvellous stuff. Check it here!

27 November - 'Map of the Interior World' by Subterrestrial and 'Snapped Off' by 1 + 1 = A Window are now available as free downloads from Diskette Etikette Net! Chiptunes and noise, all for free. Marvellous. More sold out releases will join them (and 'Timeless' by Fm-Ra) soon!

20 November - 6 DER tracks are featured on a recent edition of Unknown Pleasures, a radio show on the brilliant Temple of Despair Radio. Tracks from jjoth, Fm-Ra, Subterrestrial, Pollux and RedSK feature alongside some amazing music from the likes of Abstract Spirit, Funeral, Neu! and A Death Cinematic. You can check it out here. 19 November - A small 2nd pressing of the Pariso single will be available from the shop on 22/11/11. Once it's gone, it's gone. Get in quick! 

23 October - The latest episode of the awesome Tibol lobit radio show, hosted by me, is available for streaming and download now. It features an interview with Rainbow Valley, as well as some great lobit tunes from the likes of Pollux, Flat Affect, Cryovolcano, Goto80 and EugeneKha. Check it out here. 

18 October - After a very long wait (sorry!) the latest Diskette Etikette release is out today! Somnium by Rainbow Valley (DER023) is a 30 minute synth drone opus, encoded at everyone's favourite 8 kbps. Some seriously good shit. What's more, it comes with a badge.  And what's even more, half the copies come with a hand spraypainted USB floppy disk drive. Check the release page for more info!

06 October - Sindre Bjerga, one half of bjerga/iversen, goes on tour in the UK on Monday! Starts in London, before hitting Leeds, Hull, Newcastle and Edinburgh. More info here. The line up in London is particularly awesome, featuring Dylan Nyoukis, Daniel Spicer, Architeuthis Rex and more! Check it out. 

12 August - New single from the mighty Pariso out today! Most copies available from Holland's Incubate festival (where Pariso play on the 18th September), others available from Pariso gigs, and a few available from us via the usual channels. The single is called "I'd Rather Die Than Go To Heaven", and is awesome. More info here.

01 August - the latest DER release comes courtesy of the wonderful Consistency Nature, who's "Descend to Heaven" closed out the latest episode of Tibol lobit radio. "Within the Finite" (DER022) will be released on 03/08/11, and you can find more info here. Next up, in less than 2 weeks, will be the new single from Pariso - more info soon!

11 July - Diskette Etikette Rekords are featured on the latest instalment of the ever awesome Tibol lobit radio show, hosted by Toxic Chicken. It features several DER tracks, plus an interview with myself, alongside an hour of lobit treats from the likes of Overthruster, Syncretic and Pollux. You can listen or download for free here. 29 June - Today sees the release of the new Cryovolcano record on Diskette Etikette - we've been wanting to put something out from this guy since day one, so we're very excited about this! Check the releases page for more info!

06 June - The second in our Now That's What I Call Retro-Futurism compilation series will be released tomorrow! 14 tracks over 2 floppies, in plastic cases, 35 copies, £3.50. More info here. Work has now started on DER021 from Cryovolcano, check back for more updates soon! In other news, the 1 + 1 = A Window floppy has now sold out, and several other releases (DER008, DER010, DER014, DER015) are down to the last copy or 2, so get in quick before they disappear forever! 14 May - The latest DER release will be out Tuesday 17 May - DER018: Te Lloraría un Puto Río - Cancion de Amor Sin Titulo. Single from the amazing Mexican screamo band, packaged in plastic ziplock bags. More details here. 

31 March - After a very long, technology-enforced break, DER will return next week with the first of several exciting new releases! send-ROM-files by Graffiti Mechanism is a wonderful EP of late night ambient techno, with minimal artwork, and will be released on Tuesday 05 April. 25 March - Starting today, a couple of our releases will be featuring in the "Editions of You" exhibition, an exhibition of handmade and self released music in Oxford. Map of the Interior World by Subterrestrial and Snapped Off by 1 + 1 = A Window will both be on display and on sale in the O3 gallery between 25 March and 24 April. More details here. Thanks Ellis!

13 February - DER017 Ciderfiend - Summer Blend EP is released tomorrow, the perfect gift for Valentine's Day! 5 tracks of grindcore/powerviolence/doom on one floppy disk, comes in a choice of 7 colours. Check the releases page! In other news, the Heirdrain cd-r is now sold out!

25 January - The second release of 2011 is out today, on the 252nd anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns! The Cholesky Decomposition Method, by ace Norwegian experimental duo bjerga/iversen. Check the releases page for more info!

08 January - The first release of 2011 will be out this Monday 10 January. A 5 floppy DS techno opus from Sascha Müller, titled Krankenhaus Traxx. 14 copies only, get in quick!

06 November - The next release from DER will be out on Tuesday 09 November, and will be the new single from Welsh noise chap 1 + 1 = A Window. More info here. This will be very quickly followed by a new EP from Toxic Chicken, and both of these releases will be limited to just 15 copies, so make sure you get your pre-orders in quick!

27 October - The next release from DER is out tomorrow! DER009 RedSK - Yelling is the New Screaming. 8 track EP of noise/drone/weirdness from US noisician RedSK. More info here. Also, we have a couple of awesome records in our new distro, which will gradually expand like an exploding star.

09 October - Tomorrow is 10/10/10, and we will be celebrating with our 10th release! DER010 - Now That's What I Call Retro-Futurism Vol.1! 2 floppy disks, 14 artists, available from tomorrow for just £3.50!

24 September - The Guillotines/Lost in Bazaar split floppy is out now and selling fast, head to the shop to buy a copy before it disappears! In other news, our first compilation will be out very soon, 14 artists across 2 recycled floppies, check the release page. The RedSK EP will also be out very soon, once artwork has been finalised! And finally, our non-floppy subsiduary DEREX records has had a quick name change to DER-EXTRA, on request by the artist Derex. You can check out the original Derex here!

11 September - Next Sunday the 19 September sees DER celebrate it's 6 month anniversary! And to celebrate, we will be releasing something very special from Guillotines & Lost in Bazaar! Head on over to the releases page to find out more!

04 May 2010 - The second release from Diskette Etikette Rekords is nearly ready for you, the eager public. The Electro-Flopper EP by Moscow's very own Microbit Project will be hitting the virtual shelves in two days, just in time for the UK election! Watch this space...

19 April 2010 - On the one month anniversary of the founding of Diskette Etikette Rekords, we are pleased to announce that the first release is now out and ready for purchase! Hand packaged and hand numbered, there are only 35 copies available, so you better hotfoot it over to the releases section and get hold of a copy now!

09 April 2010 - I don't know what's more exciting, the news that Godspeed You! Black Emperor are curating ATP in December, or that the second release from Diskette Etikette Rekords is coming soon! We are pleased to announce that it will come from one of the leading lights of the lo-bit scene: Microbit Project! Watch this space... Meanwhile, our first release should be available for purchase next week, once everything is back from the printers.  

01 April 2010 - The first release on Diskette Etikette Rekords will come all the way from Ukraine, courtesy of experimental lo-bit noise artist jjoth. More details and release date very soon, probably next week! Several other releases are also in the pipeline, so watch this space!

19 March 2010 - A pack of 20 floppy disks is chanced upon, but no one knows what to do with them. Throw them away? Give them to the IT Department? Or start a DIY record label dedicated to releasing obscure music on them in editions of 35? Easy decision, Diskette Etikette Rekords is born.
